The Social Legacy Event Group Announces Upcoming Young Men’s Motivational Forum

The Social Legacy Event Group has announced their upcoming First Annual Young Men’s Motivational Forum, to be held on May 11, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 5110 Yonge Street.

This event will be free of charge. While the event focuses on important topics relevant to today’s young men in the African Canadian community, registration is open to all young men between the ages of 15 and 30.

The innovative forum will provide young men with access to a wide variety of local resources, including business owners, community and youth activists, and motivational speakers from the Greater Toronto Area.

The goal of the “I Know I Can, Be What I Want To Be” Young Men’s Motivational Forum is to convey a message of hope to young men, and encourage them to be confident and achieve their dreams by positioning the tools and resources they need to do so within their reach. The Social Legacy Event Group is calling on local community organizations who support youth in the Toronto area to help build excitement and attendance for this event.

This all-day event will include a performance by spoken word artist Randell Adjei, Harry Jerome award winner Francis Atta, author of Knowledge and Effort Yield Success (K.E.Y.S), an appearance by Louis March of the Zero Gun Violence movement and a lunch and learn with Young and Potential Fathers.

High school students who attend can apply the hours spent at the event toward their 40 hours of school-related community service requirement.
